Our objective behind preparing this project report is to design software for better control and usage of the Institute resources regarding database management of the respective Institute provide cost effective solutions by integrating the various resources of the Institute operations and finally the management of the Institute etc. It will further help in creation , deletion, updation, appending in a file and also creation , deletion of directory. It will also reduce data redundancy, work functions manual errors, increased productivity and better management of time.

Principle

The development of an effective and valuable computer based information system for the HELP MATE for better control and management of the examination of the Institute resources will provide cost effective solutions by integrating the functions in our system in a different manner. It will also help in automating routine work functions by minimizing the risk through better sensitivity analysis, increased control and management of the Institute resources, reduced redundancy of data, work functions and manual errors, with effective management of time.

This deals with the hardware to be used in the proposed system-which should be economical, reliable and easily maintainable. This raises a few questions as to availability of the equipments and its delivery timing,

Available of expertise to maintain such technology and whether it would provide practical solutions to the users.

Economic Feasibility:

Economic feasibility study is the frequently used technique for evaluating the effectiveness of a proposed system. The approach that we followed for the economic feasibility checking was COST- BENEFIT ANALYSIS ; The procedure is so determine the benefit and saving that are expected from the HELP MATE and compare them with costs. It benefits outweigh costs, a decision is taken to design and implement the system.

 Otherwise, further justification or alternative in the proposed system will have to be made it is so to have a chance of being approved. This is an outgoing effort that improves in accuracy at each phase of the system life cycle.

Cost-Benefit Analysis :

Since cost plays quite role in deciding the new system i.e. Computerized HELP MATE in our case, it must be identified and estimated properly. In the development of THE SOFTWARE FOR THE INSTITUTE costs varied by type and were consist of various distinct elements. Similarly benefits are also of different types and can be grouped on the basis of advantages they provide to the management.

Basis for Analysis : 

The costs associated with the system are expenses, outlays or losses arising from developing and using a system. While the benefits are the advantages received from installing and using the system.
